We greatly value the partnership between home and school and warmly encourage parents and guardians to become active members of our school community. There are many ways to get involved, including becoming a member of our PGTA (Parents, Guardians and Teachers Association) — please contact pgta@firhouseetns.ie for more information. Families can support the school by helping at events and assisting with fundraising initiatives that enrich our children’s learning experiences. We also welcome volunteers to support our school library and garden. Our much-loved Fáilte Friday, held at least once a term, invites families to visit their child’s classroom for the first 10–15 minutes of the day, providing an opportunity to meet the teacher, explore the classroom environment, and view some of the children’s favourite pieces of work. Together, these opportunities help us build a strong, connected, and supportive school community.
